Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do I need to commit?

Members typically commit 2-3 hours per week of async self-study and live coaching sessions.

We record all mastermind coaching sessions to watch when you can't make it live.

What if I'm not sure about my goals yet?

Don't worry; this is very common.

One of the primary goals of the Mastermind is to make sure you are happy and confident about your goal and pathway.

Many members change or upgrade their goals once they realize their full unique value to the marketplace.

The Mastermind coaching, your monthly 1:1 and tools, such as the Genius Zone Model and the MVPlan tool, will help you focus on the right goal for you.

What if I have a problem with Imposter Syndrome?

70% of people have Imposter Syndrome at some point or another.

40% of people, unfortunately, have it at a level which seriously damages results.

Dealing with IS and other confidence issues is a speciality of Tech Leaders, and we can help anyone deal with it (especially self-taught developers).

How long before I can expect a result?

We expect you to achieve a significant goal within 6 months and support you at every step of the way.

Everything we do in the Mastermind is problem and goal focused, and because of this, we use an On-Demand Mentoring and Training philosophy and system.

This means that we work on real-time problems and goals, as well as your longer-term objectives.

We help you pick the low hanging fruit now AND plant seeds for the long term.

Do I have to go to the weekly live sessions to be successful in the program? And how do they work?

Not everyone attends the live sessions and sometimes someone will join the program and I’ll never see them again other than the odd message every couple of weeks asking some questions if they get stuck.

But across the board, the people who attend the most sessions get the biggest results the fastest.

Sessions are at 10am CST on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to fit most schedules around the world.

1:1 coaching calls are scheduled at your convenience and you can get async help from coaches and other members at any time with community posts and private DMs

Is there a sense of camaraderie and community? I want a place where I feel like I belong and an organization that cares about my outcomes.

One of the reasons why the live sessions are part of the structure is so you can get support from more than just the company, but from the community members directly too.

We’ve got a mix of levels from senior SWEs all the way to CTOs and we all help each other.

What does onboarding look like?

Once you have paid through the Stripe link you’ll be auto-sent an email welcoming you into the program with access to the events, curriculum, and a link to book your Kickoff call to get started with your Gearing Up Sprint - a six week process with weekly 1:1 sessions with a coach to get you up to speed quickly.
